The Union Customs Code (UCC) comes into force next May and its impact will be far reaching. 

Whilst a lot of the changes under the UCC are being phased in over time there are already things that are changing, like the removal of LVBI and changes to the terms – and the need for guarantees - for authorisations for certain procedures, most of which mean that you will have to become an AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) ,or at least meet AEO criteria.

On top of this, customs have already started work on replacing CHIEF! 

These changes will have a significant effect on your business and now is the time that your views can have a positive effect on how the changes are made. Customs really are keen to listen and we are determined to ensure that your voice is heard and your views are known. 

With this in mind we are arranging a number of events throughout the country over the coming months to give you objective, accurate information about the changes that are coming.
