BIFA
The British International Freight Association is the main body representing the international freight services industry in the United Kingdom.
BIFA mandate ASM to be the trade industry representative for the air freight community on all technology related matters.
BIFA has various Policy Groups which meet every other month. Each Policy Group focuses on a specific area of freight. ASM represent your interests on two of these groups, the Air Policy (PG1) and Customs Policy (PG5) groups.
These meetings are attended by ASM, BIFA representatives and leading members of the freight forwarding and airline communities.
We also attend various regional meeting where appropriate. These meetings include a cross-section of forwarders, airlines, transit shed operators and members of BIFA plus ASM. They discuss air cargo issues, topics relating to customs, airport operators' developments affecting the freight industry and software updates.
ASM customers can contact our BIFA regional representative with issues or items to be included on the agenda for these meetings.
