New Document Code 9EHC for Export Health Certificates

A new document code 9EHC is being added to Appendix 5A and can be used for declaring Export Health Certificates. 

Additional validation will be introduced in the near future for RPA Export Licences (UKAP/CAP/AGREX Export Licences) declared against document code X001. Checks on the use of this document code during 2025 reveal that it is being used inappropriately for declaration of Export Health Certificates.

Once the CAP Export Licence validation is introduced, any Export Health Certificates which are declared against document code X001, may lead to the declaration being rejected. If declaring an Export Health Certificate, declarants should declare this against document code 9EHC instead of X001. 

The introduction of the new document code is not linked to any anticipated changes in the tariff measures for either RPA Export Licences or Export Health Certificates.
