Release 5.0.0 Guidance for traders - Updated 9th December 2025
CDS Release 5.0.0 will be deployed on the 13th December 2025.
Due to maintenance, the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) will be unavailable to all users from Saturday 13 December 9:30pm to 6am Sunday 14 December 2025.
Please see the attached document for details of the changes that may affect CDS declarations.
Pre-lodged declarations affected by these changes that are due to arrive on or after the 13th December 2025 will need to be amended ahead of goods arrival to avoid declaration rejection.
Update 9th December 2025 -
HMRC have advised that declarations should not be submitted during the outage period.
