Growing tech careers at ASM

After 12 months at ASM, Priya Raghunatha and Mobasher Hussain discuss how working at the company has helped them grow their careers and technical expertise.  

"The hands-on experience, combined with the training opportunities, have helped me grow more in one year than I ever expected," says Mobasher. 

Priya agrees: "ASM has given me the platform to grow, learn, and contribute at a level that is accelerating my development as a QA leader and a technology professional," she says. 

Both Mobasher, an analyst developer, and Priya, a QA manager, believe ASM is a workplace where employees are trusted and encouraged to take ownership and influence decisions.  

There is "very little red tape," says Mobasher, "which allows ideas to move quickly". An approach that has given Priya the freedom to explore new opportunities and lead initiatives that she believes in. 

"I've built an automation team, participated in process-implementation discussions, and led initiatives I'm personally passionate about," she said.

"One of ASM's biggest strengths is how open it is," explained Mobasher.  

"Whether it's suggesting new technologies or taking part in architectural decisions, the company genuinely values input from everyone."   

Priya is particularly excited to be working on efforts to bring AI into ASM's technology stack: "It's something that aligns perfectly with my personal learning journey as I pursue an AI and Machine Learning business programme," she explains. 

While Mobasher says that being part of a team focused on migrating to newer technologies and designing new architecture has been "especially rewarding," in a "close-knit company with multiple teams that collaborate really well."

The people at ASM are a huge asset for both Mobasher and Priya.  

"With a supportive network of peers, managers, and a highly accountable QA team, ASM feels like a place where I can do my best work," says Priya. 

Mobasher agrees.  

"What I enjoy most about working at ASM is the people. We have a genuinely great team, an open-door culture, and a supportive atmosphere that makes every day enjoyable."
