ICS2 update - 15 July 2025

At ASM, we're developing ICS2 functionality for road exports to the EU in Sequoia - air and maritime are already live. 

This is a resource-intensive task. Connection to the EU Shared Trader Interface is proving to be complex. 

Whilst the connectivity issues are causing us concern, we are making good progress developing the functionality in Sequoia to submit the ENS declarations and process the messages into and out of the system. 

We're working hard behind the scenes on this, but we're aware that the 1 September deadline is going to be a challenge, for traders and software developers alike. 

We continue to make representations to HMRC and, through BIFA and CLECAT, to the EU to give traders and software developers more time to implement the changes.
